About the talk: Steven Huff, author of Resting among Us: Authors’ Gravesites in Upstate New York will give a PowerPoint presentation of the many gravesites of authors in our region, including Monroe County, Central New York and beyond. He will also discuss individual authors, and why they are important and deserve to be read, such as Frederick Douglass, Mark Twain, John Gardner, Adelaide Crapsey, Rod Serling, and many more!

 

About the speaker: Steven Huff is the author of Resting among Us: Authors’ Gravesites in Upstate New York (Syracuse University Press, 2023), two story collections, including Blissful and Other Stories (Cosmographia, 2017), three collections of poetry, including A Fire in the Hill (Blue Horse 2017). A Pushcart Prize winner in fiction, he teaches creative writing in the Solstice Low-Residency MFA Program at Lasell University in Boston. The former publisher/managing editor at BOA Editions, Ltd., he served as publisher at Tiger Bark Press from 2006 until 2022. He lives in Rochester, and Forestville, New York, and now publishes classic film commentary in The Moveable Marquee at stevenhuff.substack.com
