Event Details
Many of us have treasured pets which hold precious places in our hearts. This talk will provide a fascinating overview and salacious stories of famous people's various pets, from the royal families of England, France, and Russia to the beloved White House pets of American Presidents. Besides the mundane traditional cats and dogs, we'll also talk about pet snakes, squirrels, racoons, ponies, horses, goats, and exotic birds.
Presented by Melinda Wallington, who has an extensive background in history, women's studies, and anthropology, and 10 years of archival experience in U of R Department of Rare Books and Special Collections before joining the Greece Public Library staff in 2022.
