Program Description

Event Details

Join Misty Yarnall in this generative writing workshop. Together you'll use creative writing exercises to explore themes found in the 2025 Rochester Reads selection, Camille T. Dungy's Soil: The Story of a Black Mother's Garden. We will use quotes from the book as guided writing prompts to discuss these themes of self-discovery and growth in our own lives.  (Participants do not have to have read the book in order to participate. Just bring your creative mind and favorite pen!)
