Virtual Zoom Program

In 1909, Durand Eastman Park was formally opened by the city of Rochester. The property had been donated by Dr. Henry Durand and George Eastman 2 years earlier. Join Bob Beabout of Cornell Cooperative Extension as he covers the history of how the park came to be, the development of the property, and some of the primary specimens held in the Durand Eastman Arboretum within the park.

Registration is required with an active email address for Zoom link. You will receive the link via email before the program. This program is hosted by the Fairport Public Library. If you have any questions, please call the library at 223-9091.

The Master Gardener Series is brought to you by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County and is available thanks to a consortium of MCLS libraries who are sharing resources and connecting communities.
