This year marks the 250th anniversary of beloved British author Jane Austen’s birth. Join us for a fashion show featuring clothing worn during her lifetime and as seen in popular movies such as Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and the Bridgerton mini-series. Regency fashion expert Lisa Brown will take us on a tour of ball gowns, day gowns, accessories, bonnets, and corsets.
Lisa Brown is a Lifetime Member of the Jane Austen Society of North America and recently served as Regional Coordinator for Central and Western New York. She is well known for her workshops, fashion shows, and talks on Jane Austen and the Georgian Era. During the pandemic, Lisa created Jane Austen Bingo, played by thousands of Janeites on Zoom and in-person meetings.
